Genesys Client Licensing (Network Server)

Before beginning you should ensure you do not have a Genesys hardware key plugged in. Network licensing will not authorize if you have a hardware key attached. A Genesys hardware key will override all other licensing types. After installing Genesys on the client, make sure you know the name of the server that Genesys Network is installed on.

To Setup Client Licensing

1. Open Genesys from the shortcut on your desktop or from Start/All Programs/Genesys(*Version)/Genesys. (*Version) is the version of interest, i.e. 2007.03.
2. A box will open with the options: Evaluation or Purchased Software. Select Purchased Software and click Next.
3. Click on the Genesys Network License Server option and then click next.
   
    
4. Type in the Network Server Name that the Genesys server was installed to and click Finish.
   • The Network Server Name can be:
     • the netbios name if the server is local
     • The LAN
     • The full DNS name for larger networks
